Womens Concealed Carry Leather Cowboy Boot Vintage Brown Vamp With Embroide

The positives outweigh the negatives.

1.) CCW feature won’t work for me because my gun still shows a bit, and it cuts into my calf as I walk. If I lived in an open carry state then maybe, but I don’t feel like going to prison for life here in Commiefornia, so probably won’t be using these for CCW unless I wear wide jeans and cover the boot. For reference, I have an ultra compact micro pistol (a Bodyguard 2.0, that funnily enough matches the color of this boot exactly!). But the gun still sticks out some even when fully seated, and that is without the magazine in (see pics). My slightly bigger but still compact Browning 1911 definitely sticks out. So I can’t wear these with either gun unless I want to wear baggier/flared jeans that cover the entire boot. Bummer.
2.) I don’t like flared out jeans, and plan to just wear these with jeans tucked in, but the opening at the top is a bit wide and might not accommodate standard straight leg boot cut jeans. But it would probably be fine with boot cut jeans that have a tad bit of flare. I don’t own pants like that so I can’t test it out.
3.) It does “print” a bit in that the gun still shows and it makes my calf on that side look weirdly wide compared to the other empty side, but I don’t know who is out there studying and comparing the circumference of people’s calves, so that’s probably not a big deal.
4.) I have muscular calves so maybe this wouldn’t be an issue for smaller-calved ladies, but the gun also digs into my leg when I walk around. It’s tolerable when padded with jeans tucked in, but then it’s not concealed. I can’t wear thicker socks because the boots run a bit small and they’re out of the next size up. :(
4.5) I definitely can’t wear it with the gun AND an extra magazine or a phone in the other little square pocket; I could barely get my leg in with both pockets occupied. But since you have the feature in both boots, you could theoretically have the gun in one boot and a spare magazine or your phone in the other boot, so that’s just a half point deduction. :)
5.) The spare pocket is cool, but an iPhone 12 Pro sticks out by about an inch. But My Light Phone III dumb phone fits without a case (very snug with a case), and credit cards with or without a pocket knife also fit perfectly!
6.) Runs narrow. I normally wear size W9B or D shoes (I have a wide toe box, regular midfoot, and narrow heels). I have a pair of Roper American Beauty Distressed round toe boots in size 9B that were way more comfortable right out of the box, but ran a little big and wide. So I ordered these in 8.5B, but they’re definitely a bit tighter in the midfoot. My toe fits fine, so these might run a bit long in size (since I normally wear a size 9) but narrow overall. They’re starting to stretch out, so hopefully they’ll be more comfy with time. My heel still slips out of them, but that’s a struggle for me with most shoes, so probably not an issue for the general population.

So in conclusion, ultra compact gun is not 100% concealed, but close enough for an open carry state or if you wear it with wider pants on the outside. Although the CCW feature was the main reason I bought these and the fit is disappointing compared to my other Ropers, I am still keeping them because they’re so dang cute, I like the smaller spare pockets for my Light Phone and my credit cards, I can conceal my pocket knife, and I have hope that they’ll stretch out a bit and get more comfortable with time!
